Since October, Baptist has been providing educational material and hosting many events to enforce October nationally being recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For nine years, we have sponsored WLBT’s Power of Pink, which educates the public on the importance of appropriate breast health screenings. Many activities surrounded the support of fund for the girls, which supports Mississippians by breaking down the financial barrier that prevents some from seeking needed breast health services (fundforthegirls.com). Baptist Cancer Services was the flagship sponsor for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. We had a team of approximately 200 Baptist staff and their loved ones walking and running in the event. Thank you are your support.

To wrap it all up, Baptist for Women sponsored the Junior League of Jackson’s Mistletoe Luncheon with special guest Joan Lunden. The former Good Morning America anchor and now breast cancer survivor. But, the icing on all this cake was watching breast cancer patients and survivors participating in the Belk fashion show at the luncheon.
