Baptist Memorial Health Care announced plans to establish a regional business office in the Regions Plaza building located at 210 East Capitol Street in Jackson, Mississippi.
Baptist will lease four floors occupying a total of 41,000 square feet of space in the building, which is owned by a subsidiary of Hertz Investment Group. The office will house 250 employees.
“This new office will centralize the business office operations of nine of our 10 Mississippi hospitals,” said Chris Anderson, vice president of Mississippi operations for Baptist Memorial Health Care. “Combining our resources in this way strengthens operational and service excellence, drives efficiencies and enhances the patient experience, which is our top priority. Our hospitals care for some of the sickest and most under-served communities in the country, and we must do everything we can to ensure we remain part of these communities for years to come.”
On May 1, 2017, Mississippi Baptist Health Systems, based in Jackson, signed a shared mission agreement with Baptist Memorial Health Care, which is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. Baptist Memorial is the largest not-for-profit health care provider in the Mid-South, with hospitals in Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi. As a result of the shared mission agreement, Baptist Memorial became Mississippi’s fourth largest employer and the largest health care system in the state.
The regional business office will also house physician billing, scheduling and similar services. Open positions will be posted this week. To learn more or to apply, please visit baptistonline.org/careers.
