“Exceptional,” “hardworking”, “phenomenal,” and “professional role model” are some of the words used to describe Baptist Health Systems’ Education Coordinator Erica Dupree, MSN, RN. A co-worker attests, “She is one of the most dedicated, compassionate, knowledgeable, talented and committed employees in the medical center.”
After obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner degree, Dupree joined Baptist in 1997 as a staff nurse. She skillfully demonstrated competency and leadership skills serving in the roles of charge nurse and clinical lead. In June 2003, Dupree joined the Baptist’s Education Department to pursue her desire of teaching employees, and currently serves as “health stream” administrator. She continues to assist in nursing unit 6A as well.
Upon reading Dupree’s Reward & Recognition submittal letters, one is immediately struck by her commitment to volunteer her time and resources when needed as well as her willingness to work long hours in order to meet deadlines. She is always upbeat and never complains about unexpected projects or urgent requests.
Dupree’s team members are also impressed with her work performance. She is described as exuding “confidence and competence.” She has helped to divert potential disasters by quickly responding to issues and resolving them before “health stream” clinical on-line classes go-live. It was said, “She goes beyond her regular responsibilities and is truly an engaged and committed member of the Baptist team.
