Baptist Medical Center announces the addition of Eric Gavour, MD as an internal medicine physician at Baptist Premier.
Prior to joining Baptist Premier, Gavour completed an internal medicine residency at Meharry Medcial College in Nashville, Tenn. Additionally, Gavour received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana. He also obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the same university.
Additionally, Gavour served as a member of the military with the 1st Brigade Combat Team as a member of the Treatment Squad at Battalion Aid Station in Fort Drum, NY. He received several medals including the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Army Good Conduct Medal among others.
