Reduciendo Su Riesgo de Hipertiroidismo

No hay manera para prevenir el hipertiroidismo en casos de Enfermedad de Graves y la mayoría de otras causas. El hipertiroidismo fáctico se puede prevenir evitando tomar demasiado yodo (sal yodatada, pescado de agua salada) o tomar una dosis demasiado alta de medicamento de reemplazo tiroidal. Reducir o dejar de fumar también reducirá su riesgo de hipertiroidismo.
