There may be many different causes for the multiple conditions under the autism spectrum. Though environmental factors are believed to play a role, the exact causes have not been identified. Currently there are no confirmed steps for Autism prevention but research is suggesting that the period just before, during and just after birth may be important. More research is continuing to help identify steps that may decrease the risk of Autism.
