Baptist Leake offers acute care and swing bed services, as well as MRI, vascular ultrasound, echocardiography, wound care and podiatry services. Our Level IV emergency room is staffed by qualified physicians and ancillary staff. We offer service from three clinics located in Walnut Grove and Carthage for all your family’s health care needs. The Birthplace from Baptist Medical Center in Jackson offers satellite services in Carthage. A board certified OB/GYN physician and nurse practitioner are on-site weekly supporting your prenatal care.

Swing Bed Program

Swing Bed (or Skilled Nursing Care) is a Medicare program designed to provide additional inpatient care to those needing extra time to heal or strengthen. Our Swing Bed program offers a much needed service for patients who no longer need acute hospital care, but do need skilled nursing or therapy care to complete their recovery. Our program offers patients a seamless transition from acute to follow up care, 24 hour skilled nursing care, comfort and familiarity of a local hospital and near to loved ones and friends.
