Charles S. O'Mara, MD

Dr. O'Mara graduated AOA from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed internship and residency in surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, which included training as a registrar in thoracic surgery at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, England. Following residency, he served as a fellow in vascular surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago and then returned to Baltimore to spend two years on the vascular surgical staff at Johns Hopkins. In 1990, he was named Critical Care Physician of the Year by Baptist Health Systems.He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and holds certification of special competence in vascular surgery. His practice is limited to vascular surgery. A native of Jackson, Dr. O'Mara is married and has one daughter, Kate, who lives in Washington, DC.
