J. Clay Hays, Jr., MD

Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, Dr. Hays completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Mississippi in Oxford. He then earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, followed by his residency in internal medicine at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He completed his fellowship in cardiology at the University of Mississippi school of Medicine. During his medical training, Dr. Hays also completed clerkships at both Harvard Medical School and Mayo Medical School.

He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Coronary Angiography. He is also a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology; the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography; the American Heart Association; the American Medical Association; the Mississippi State Medical Association and the Central Medical Society.

A member of First Baptist Church, he is a deacon and Sunday School teacher, as well as a member of the Board of Directors for Mission First. He also serves on the board of Leadership Jackson, and of the Mississippi Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Task Force.
