Baptist Medical Center is dealing with low water pressure. Measures are underway to address this and will continue to be assessed throughout the day. Elective surgeries are being canceled for today and tomorrow, but urgent cases are still scheduled. The Jackson Fire Department has been bringing Baptist water. We have crews delivering water to patient rooms. Visitors are being directed to use restrooms in the lower level of the medical center. The University of Mississippi Medical Center is assisting us with laundry and instrument sterilization. The Emergency Department is operational, and the cafeteria will be open today. There are portable restrooms located outside our medical office facilities for employees and customers. We have canceled Baptist health seminars for the day. Baptist is securing a safe environment for our patient care.
