Construction on Fortification

July 30, 2012 - Over the next seven to nine months, construction on Fortification Street will probably cause traffic delays. To avoid construction traffic, please consider using Woodrow Wilson for travel to Baptist.

• From the North: Take I-55 South to the Woodrow Wilson exit. Continue to State Street and turn left (south). Continue on State Street approximately one mile. Baptist Medical Center will be on your right.
• From the South: Take I-55 North to the Woodrow Wilson exit. Continue to State Street and turn left (south). Continue on State Street approximately one mile. Baptist Medical Center will be on your right.
• From the East: Take I-20 West to I-55 North to the Woodrow Wilson exit. Continue to State Street and turn left (south). Continue on State Street approximately one mile. Baptist Medical Center will be on your right.
• From the West: Take I-20 East to I-55 North to the Woodrow Wilson exit. Continue to State Street and turn left (south). Continue on State Street approximately one mile. Baptist Medical Center will be on your right.

Directions Via Fortification: (Not Recommended During Construction)

From the North: Take I-55 South to the Fortification Street exit (exit number 96C). Turn right onto Fortification Street. Take Fortification to State Street. Turn right onto State Street and go two blocks. The main entrance to the hospital will be on the left. After you enter the campus, the hospital is on the right, parking garage on the left. The main entrance provides direct access to the Medical Center's main lobby and the lobby of the Cardiovascular Center. The boulevard entrance for direct access to Baptist for Women is immediately south of the main entrance, adjacent to Medical Arts West.

From the South: Take I-55 North to the Fortification Street exit (exit number 96C). Go west on Fortification to State Street.  Turn right (north) onto State Street and go two blocks.  The main entrance to the hospital will be on the left. After you enter the campus, the hospital is on the right, parking garage on the left. The main entrance provides direct access to the Medical Center's main lobby and the lobby of the Cardiovascular Center.
