Baptist's award-winning orthopedic program includes specialty care for patients who experience hip fractures. The service begins in the ER and focuses on getting patients to surgery as quickly as possible and on the road to recovery.
Our multidisciplinary team of fellowship trained orthopedic surgeons, internal medicine physicians, physiatrists, physical and occupational therapists, registered nurses and case managers work together daily to ensure the best possible outcome for people sustaining hip fractures. Through the use of specially trained staff, shorter time to surgery, more aggressive physical therapy and shorter hospital stays, the fracture care program helps patients return to their optimal level of function.
